About Champaign, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Champaign is a large city in Champaign County, Illinois. It is positioned at the junction of Interstate 74 and Interstate 57, about 40 miles west of the State of Indiana border. According to the United States Census Bureau, Champaign was populated by approximately 86,637 people in 2016. It is the largest city in Champaign County.

Like many American cities, Champaign was founded along the tracks of a railroad. In 1855, the Illinois Central Railroad constructed a pathway through eastern Illinois, about two miles west of downtown Urbana. A community was developed along the tracks and became known as West Urbana. In 1860, the name of West Urbana was changed to Champaign. It is named for Champaign County, Ohio.

Today, Champaign is a beautiful and well-developed city. There are many attractions in Champaign like Krannert Art Museum, Spurlock Museum, and Crystal Lake Park. Champaign is also home to good schools, beautiful neighborhoods, and a variety of shopping and dining opportunities. In the City of Champaign, Illinois, there is something for everyone.

Professional HVAC technicians recommend residents of Champaign have cooling and heating systems installed in their homes. The city is in a region of the United States that is susceptible to warm summers and very cool winters. During the months of June, July, and August, the average daytime temperature highs range from the low to mid-80s. When heat waves pass through the city, temperatures will climb to the mid-90s. Cooling systems like central air conditioning units are sufficient to cool homes in Champaign. When temperatures rise, central air conditioning systems help residents stay cool and comfortable inside their homes.

In addition to cooling systems, Champaign residents should have heating systems in their homes. Professional HVAC technicians recommend furnaces. During the long winter seasons in Champaign, the average daytime temperature highs range from the low to upper-30s and snowfall is common. When properly installed and maintained by HVAC technicians, furnaces keep residents and their homes protected against harsh winter weather conditions.
